Comprehensive and systematic Hardware-in-the-Loop tests considerably help to reduce development cycles and to achieve a high level of product quality in an early phase. This applies to new assistance systems as well as to innovative powertrain concepts. Complex and dynamic test scenarios can hardly be performed in a reproducible and reliable manner and at reasonable costs merely through the use of signal-based testing methods– particularly when it comes to transferring real-world use cases from the road to the rig. As a pioneer in the fields of vehicle dynamics simulation and Hardware-in-the-Loop technology, IPG draws on many years of comprehensive expertise in the fields of testing systems and virtual drive tests: from standard HIL simulators through to customized test rig solutions. Hard- and software are optimally attuned to each other and open up a completely new dimension in virtual drive tests. From functional, diagnostic or software integration tests through to communication tests of control units in the whole vehicle: IPG offers an extremely high-performing, cost-efficient and modular solution.
