apply & innovate 2010

Impressions of the "apply & innovate 2010"

Conference was focused on innovative applications in the field of virtual road testing

About 100 attendees from more than 30 OEMs and suppliers in the automotive sector as well as renowned research institutions met at "apply & innovate 2010" in Ettlingen and Karlsruhe (Germany) on September 15 and 16, 2010. This year's conference was again focused on current research and development results achieved by renowned users based on leading-edge vehicle dynamics simulation and intelligent test rig technologies.

The 19 user presentations impressively demonstrated the broad spectrum of possible applications in the field of virtual road testing. All of the presentations clearly illustrated how IPG's simulation tools can be used to enhance efficiencies in the development process, realize innovation potential and control complex technological challenges. The lively discussions that followed each speech demonstrated the attendees' keen interest in the topics presented.

The research lab tour featuring visits to the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and the Research Center for Information Technology (FZI) met with positive response as well. They provided attendees with an opportunity to catch a glimps of forward-thinking concepts such as Autonomous Vehicles and Car2X-Communications. Both of these solutions were implemented using IPG tools.

"A good mix of inspiring presentations," "Many interesting aspects for day-to-day professional use" were just some of the comments received from the attendees. The whole conference got an overall positive feedback.
