FZI (Research Center for Information Technology) and IPG Automotive GmbH, a leading provider of simulation solutions and test systems for the automobile and automotive supplier industries, have announced that they will jointly develop a testing and integration platform for active safety and energy-efficient driving strategies. The two partners based in Karlsruhe, Germany, have already been successfully cooperating in the field of fusion in camera-based driver assistance systems. Now taking their collaboration to another level by pursuing the development of partially autonomous and user-adaptive driver assistance systems, FZI and IPG are positioning themselves in this forward-thinking market.

About 100 attendees from more than 30 OEMs and suppliers in the automotive sector as well as renowned research institutions met at “apply & innovate 2010,” the international technology conference hosted by IPG Automotive GmbH, a leading provider of simulation solutions, test systems and engineering services in Ettlingen and Karlsruhe (Germany) on September 15 and 16, 2010.
