Hardware-in-the-loop simulators from IPG with 10-fold performance

IPG Automotive has sped up the hardware platform of the CarMaker/HIL simulators again. An architecture change in the area of computer technology and a new real-time system permit an enormous computing power from the hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test benches under hard real-time conditions. With these improvements, the vehicle dynamics specialist establishes the CarMaker/HIL systems knowing that the trend is for simulation models to become increasingly complex and detailed in the future.

Cooperation between IPG Automotive GmbH and AVL List GmbH enables hardware-in-the-loop tests on dynamic motor and drivetrain test benches from AVL.
