MotorcycleMaker Models
MotorcycleMaker contains a completely parameterized motorcycle model with motorcycle structure or alternatively with the structure of a scooter. The vehicle models consist of separate model parts for brakes, clutch, engine, drive train, wheel carrier, steering system and aerodynamics that you can quickly modify or replace by your own model. Different model parts for wheel carrier and drive train are at your disposal as a standard in MotorcycleMaker. You can combine them to specific motorcycle or scooter types.
Overview of the vehicle model:
- Completely non-linear
- Different front wheel carriers: telescopic fork, Telelever, UsideDown
- Different rear wheel carriers: Swing arm, Paralever
- Flexible quantity distribution, e.g. to simulate baggage
- Different drive concepts: based on driveshaft, on chain or on swing arm mounted engine
- Complete braking system with hand and foot brake
- Complex tire model taking into account the influence of large camber angles and transient tire behavior
- Aerodynamics model
- Optional: bending and torsional stiffness of the body frame and the rear and front wheel carrier
Driver model
The virtual driver IPGDriver enables sophisticated closed-loop maneuvers on three-dimensional tracks. It controls the vehicle by accelerating, braking, clutching, shifting and steering and is able to test the vehicle dynamics limits like a professional test driver. In contrast to double tracked vehicles, IPGDriver steers the motorcycle using countersteering and torso leaning. Different movement strategies are available for torso leaning. Simulation of the vehicle environment
Besides the motorcycle specific model the model platform of MotorcycleMaker is the same as in CarMaker. That is why MotorcycleMaker provides you with a high-performance representation of three-dimensional roads and arbitrary traffic situations.
