Thanks to networked electronic control systems our vehicles are more and more secure, dynamic and agile. However implication is much more complexity and high challenges regarding costs, quality and development times. OEMs and suppliers therefore require methods and tools to test and optimize the functionality and reliability of their systems in a continuous development process.
Our simulation solutions CarMaker, MotorcycleMaker and TruckMaker have been developed to meet today the challenges of tomorrow.They are based on a perfectly aligned simulation environment and allow the model based testing and development of entire vehicles, vehicle components and ECUs.
Due to their seamless "office-lab-rig-drive" concept, these solutions can be used on PC, in the HIL laboratory as well as on large test benches. For this purpose, IPG offers turn-key HIL systems and tailored test system solutions for specific requirements and sophisticated development tasks.

Classic vehicle dynamics
Shift the driving test from the test track into your office or laboratory! The advantages: Early concept optimization and validation with regard to your target values - cost-effective, reproducible and secure. The virtual test drives are valid up to the dynamic limits.
Control systems
Whatever your task - developing controller models, ECU codes, the final ECU or a complete system - the vehicle dynamics simulation enables you to test new functions of control systems directly in the virtual vehicle, long before the first prototype leaves the factory.
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems
Distance keeping, lane keeping, lane change, parking and emergency braking assistants as well as pre-crash systems; the complexity of networked systems and the conflict of objectives between benefit and risks require innovative methods. With our simulation solutions you can seamlessly test driver assistance systems in virtual traffic situations at your desk through to the laboratory.
Fuel efficiency and e-mobility
The mandatory CO2 reduction requires a rapid progress through to ecological mobility. Hybrid drive technology is a first reaction to it. The strong interdependencies of the systems and functions in the drive train and the chassis require a holistic analysis under real operating conditions; respecting longitudinal, lateral and vertical dynamics. The integration of hybrid drive trains in CarMaker enables for example the analysis of energy flow and power loss balance under the influence of the vehicle dynamics interaction. This opens up new perspectives to discover the possibilites of tomorrow.
