Open House focused on CarMaker 3.5 Release

Visitors experienced new dimensions in virtual test driving

About 100 attendees met at the Open House hosted by IPG Automotive GmbH, a leading provider of simulation solutions, test systems and engineering services in Karlsruhe (Germany) on March 1st, 2011.

The Open House was focused on the launch of the latest version of CarMaker 3.5, an open integration and testing platform which sets new standards in virtual test driving. From conventional vehicle dynamics to chassis control systems through to the development of advanced driver assistance systems and solutions in the field of energy management: The CarMaker 3.5 Release now offers even more efficiency – in terms of time and costs – plus user friendliness across the entire vehicle development process.

The new steering model, for instance, provides very realistic steering and driving “feel,” TruckMaker pro4 now also simulates four-axle vehicles in real time, the new navigation link creates the prerequisites for the development of map-based driver assistance systems and predictive energy strategies, and the traffic editor, IPGTraffic, which has been subjected to significant further development, easily creates even complex traffic scenarios. Also, our sophisticated driver model, IPGDriver, now masters even more demanding tasks than before. And in the hardware sector numerous new components for your specific HiL application are now available. Consequently, the hard- and software portfolio from IPG continues to be optimally coordinated in the manner to which users of IPG products are accustomed.

Through CarMaker 3.5 Release IPG, the pioneer in virtual test driving, again demonstrates its high innovation capability. Further information at www.ipg.de/carmaker_release.html
